The premise is silly. The problem it solves is not. Getting six boiled eggs out of a pan individually, with a spoon, while they're hot, is a genuinely irritating small task — and transferring them to an ice bath fast enough to stop them overcooking is worse. This holds the whole set in one rack so they go in and come out as a unit. That's the case for it. The fact that the rack is a cheerful penguin standing guard over your breakfast is incidental to the engineering, which is exactly the right way round for a kitchen gadget.
